I’ve spent the last 20 years engaged in child and women-centered social change, including 8+ years in field leadership positions in Nicaragua, Bolivia, Venezuela, Rwanda, and Laos.

I graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. I studied, interned, and worked with organizations in Brazil, Kenya, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and the US-Mexico border region. I received my Masters Degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, where I completed coursework on child and adolescent development, trauma, and bilingual education.

I led program and policy quality efforts, including monitoring, evaluation and learning, advocacy, communication, strategic planning, training, and program design for international non-profits and UN Agencies for over 15 years. I mobilized teams, secured funds, integrated education, health, and protection programming for priority populations, and was lucky enough to collaborate with many fabulous colleagues and organizations.

I now live in Los Angeles, California. I have a small garden and while gardening I often think about care—caring for children, elders, the planet, and each other. I enjoy projects and people that elevate, respect, and acknowledge care and its under-appreciated contributions to our communal well-being.
